Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Technician at Kaiser Permanente. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting medical professionals with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with patients, be dedicated to providing exceptional care, and possess the following qualifications: - A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent- Certification or degree in a related field (e.g. nursing, medical assistant, etc.)- Previous experience in a healthcare setting- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing- Knowledge of medical terminology- Strong organizational and time management skillsIf you have a passion for helping others and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct patient care in accordance with policies and procedures.
  2. Assist medical professionals with diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  3. Maintain patient medical records and ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Observe and report changes in patient's condition or behavior.
  6. Follow safety and infection control guidelines to ensure patient safety.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing patient records.
  8. Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatments.
  9. Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay up to date on healthcare trends and updates.
  10. Maintain professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
