
Patient Access Representative
We are looking for an exceptionally organized and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Access Representative at Kaiser Permanente. The Patient Access Representative is a crucial part of our team, ensuring that our patients’ access to care is as seamless as possible.To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least two years of experience in a customer service role. Additionally, you should have strong computer skills, with knowledge of basic software programs. A commitment to providing courteous and professional service is essential. Responsibilities:
• Greet and check in patients upon arrival
• Ensure smooth patient access to care by answering questions and providing information
• Create patient accounts, verify insurance information, and enter data into the system accurately
• Input patient orders into the system and coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Examine and process patient forms and paperwork
• Manage patient appointments and schedule follow-up visits
• Communicate with insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain authorization for services
• Resolve patient inquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Manage and monitor patient flow in the office
• Follow all healthcare policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot and handle any technical issues with the patient access system
• Maintain patient records in an organized and secure manner
• File patient documents in the appropriate locations
• Generate reports on patient visits and other metrics
