We are looking for an experienced Patient Access Representative to join our team at Kaiser Permanente! The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing a pleasant and professional customer service experience to all patients and visitors. This is an important role that ensures all patients are appropriately registered, receives the care they need, and have a positive experience at the facility.The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering a high-quality patient experience. The candidate should also be able to multi-task effectively and remain calm under pressure. Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and register patients in a professional and friendly manner.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely patient registration and data entry.
  3. Explain the patient’s rights and responsibilities in accordance with facility policy.
  4. Answer inquiries, provide information, and resolve patient issues and concerns.
  5. Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain authorization for services.
  6. Prepare and process patient admission and discharge paperwork.
  7. Provide assistance with financial and billing inquiries.
  8. Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  9. Maintain patient accounts by collecting and updating information.
  10. Monitor patient flow and ensure adherence to established waiting times.
  11. Assist patients with navigating the facility and locating services.
  12. Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy is maintained.
  13. Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area.
  14. Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  15. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
