Patient Access Representative

We are looking for an experienced Patient Access Representative to join the team at Kaiser Permanente. The successful candidate will be the face of Kaiser Permanente and will provide excellent customer service to our patients. This role includes both administrative and patient care duties, so a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills is essential.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of medical office experience, proficient computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, excellent customer service orientation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Greet and check-in patients upon arrival

• Verify patient information and documentation

• Collect payments from patients

• Answer patient inquiries and provide accurate information

• Schedule patient appointments

• Maintain patient records and files

• Assist with patient registration

• Ensure HIPAA compliance

• Process insurance claims

• Resolve patient complaints

• Communicate with other medical staff

• Monitor patient flow

• Assist with administrative tasks as needed
