  1. Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to outpatient medical services provided by Kaiser Permanente, adhering to all coding guidelines and regulations.
  2. Conduct thorough review of medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentation for coding purposes.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to resolve coding discrepancies and obtain necessary documentation.
  4. Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations, and communicate updates to the team as needed.
  5. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all coding tasks.
  6. Meet productivity and accuracy goals set by Kaiser Permanente.
  7. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, team members, and insurance companies regarding coding and documentation requirements.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  9. Participate in coding audits and provide feedback for improvement.
  10. Maintain a strong understanding of Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures related to coding and billing.
  11. Act as a resource for other team members regarding coding questions and concerns.
  12. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all coding activities.
  13. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current in the field of medical coding.
  14. Continuously strive to improve coding processes and contribute to the overall success of the outpatient facility.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente patients through accurate and timely coding practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology

  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Coding Experience In An Outpatient Facility Setting

  • Familiarity With Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems

  • Ability To Work Independently And Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
