  1. Assist orthodontic dentists in providing high-quality dental care to patients.
  2. Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients and make them feel at ease during their appointments.
  4. Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
  5. Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed.
  6. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  7. Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and instruments.
  8. Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies.
  9. Assist with scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
  10. Work as a team player to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  11. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
  12. Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  14. Handle patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Orthodontic Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Orthodontic Procedures Such As Braces, Invisalign, And Retainers. This Includes The Ability To Take Accurate Impressions And X-Rays, As Well As Assist The Orthodontist During Procedures.

  • Experience With Dental Software: Kaiser Permanente Utilizes Electronic Health Records And Dental Software For Patient Management. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With These Systems To Ensure Efficient And Accurate Record Keeping.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Orthodontic Dental Assistant, You Will Be Working Closely With Both Patients And Other Members Of The Dental Team.
