  1. Provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the entire process.
  2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  3. Assess patient needs, monitor vital signs, and respond to any changes in condition or complications during surgery.
  4. Administer medications and assist with anesthesia as needed.
  5. Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies to ensure a sterile and safe environment.
  6. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, post-operative care, and any necessary follow-up instructions.
  7. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and troubleshoot potential issues during surgery.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient care activities.
  9. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  10. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current in the field of surgical nursing.
  11. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected at all times.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of healthcare services.
  15. Comply with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  16. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during the surgical process.
  17. Act as a role model for other staff members, demonstrating excellence in clinical skills, professionalism, and patient care.
  18. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Equivalent Education And Experience.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Or Rn In A Surgical Setting.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Environment, Demonstrating Strong Critical Thinking Skills And Attention To Detail.
