Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Optometry Degree From An Accredited Institution: The First And Most Important Qualification For An Optometrist At Kaiser Permanente Is A Doctor Of Optometry Degree From A Recognized And Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide High-Quality Eye Care Services.

  • State Licensure: In Addition To A Degree, An Optometrist At Kaiser Permanente Must Hold A Valid License To Practice Optometry In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State's Requirements For Education And Training And Is Legally Allowed To Practice In That Particular State.

  • Experience In A Clinical Setting: Kaiser Permanente Values Candidates With Prior Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In An Optometry Practice. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle A Variety Of Eye Conditions And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: As Kaiser Permanente Uses Electronic Medical Records, It Is Essential For An Optometrist To Be Proficient In Using These Systems. Having Prior Experience With Emrs Or The Ability To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Technology Is A Valuable Qualification For This Role.
