Optometrist

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join Kaiser Permanente’s growing team of healthcare professionals. Our Optometrist will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including refraction, contact lens services, and diagnosing and treating eye diseases. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about providing quality eye care while creating a positive patient experience.The ideal candidate for this role will possess a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school and must be licensed in the State of practice. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of clinical optometric experience and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive eye care services, including refraction and contact lens services, as well as diagnosing and treating eye diseases.
2. Create a positive patient experience while providing quality eye care.
3. Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
4. Stay up to date with the latest developments in optometry and ophthalmology.
5. Maintain professional licensing and certifications.
6. Adhere to Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
7. Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
8. Schedule, document, and track patient appointments.
9. Perform vision tests and administer appropriate treatments.
10. Educate patients on vision care, eye health and safety.
