
Ophthalmic Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team of professionals at Kaiser Permanente. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated individual to help us provide exceptional healthcare services to our patients.Our ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to patient service, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry practice. The ideal candidate must also possess excellent organizational skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.If you are passionate about patient care and have the qualifications we are looking for, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent patient care by offering assistance to ophthalmologists and optometrists during patient examinations.
- Assist with various administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and billing.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by following all safety protocols within the office.
- Educate patients on proper eye care as prescribed by the ophthalmologist or optometrist.
- Perform basic office duties such as filing, copying, and faxing documents.
- Update patient records and enter information into the computer system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Greet and check-in patients upon their arrival.
- Respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay up to date with the latest developments in ophthalmology.
