Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Operating Room Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. This position requires excellent communication and multitasking skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in healthcare, a passion for excellence, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.The Operating Room Technician is responsible for preparing the operating room and assisting in the delivery of patient care before, during, and after surgery. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between the surgical team and support staff, and will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on patient outcomes. Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous experience in a clinical setting • Strong understanding of sterilization techniques and medical terminology • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds • Current CPR certification • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities of an Operating Room Technician: • Prepare the operating room according to established guidelines and standards. • Assist medical staff with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care. • Ensure that all equipment is in proper working order and properly sterilized. • Monitor patient vital signs and provide assistance as needed. • Follow established safety protocols and adhere to infection control policies. • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all documentation is completed correctly. • Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies. • Assist with scheduling and coordinating of surgical cases. • Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service. • Remain up to date on the latest developments and best practices in the field.
