Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Technician to join the team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Operating Room Technician, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure that surgical procedures are performed safely and in a timely manner. Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist, or equivalent • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, or equivalent • Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies • Proven ability to work as part of a team • Knowledge of general anatomy and physiology • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively • Demonstrated customer service skills • Ability to follow safety protocols

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the preparation of the operating room prior to surgery, including setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  2. Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures.
  3. Assist with patient positioning and preparation, as needed.
  4. Monitor vital signs during surgery and inform the medical team of changes, as needed.
  5. Maintain the operating room in a clean and safe condition at all times.
  6. Follow safety protocols and procedures while in the operating room.
  7. Ensure appropriate sterilization of instruments and equipment.
  8. Assist with post-operative patient care and follow up.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care.
  10. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment and order as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Current Certification As A Certified Operating Room Technician (Cort) Or Certified Surgical Technician (Cst)

  • Previous Experience As An Operating Room Technician
