Operating Room Attendant

We’re seeking a highly motivated Operating Room Attendant to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and be a team player with a strong attention to detail. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures, as well as maintaining supplies and equipment. Required Qualifications:• High School Diploma/GED• A minimum of one year of direct patient care experience in an acute care hospital, long-term care facility, or ambulatory care environment• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique• Good organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English• Basic computer skills• Current BCLS certification

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, following all safety protocols and procedures.
2. Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and equipment is available for each surgical procedure.
3. Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
4. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
5. Monitor and document vital signs and other patient data as directed.
6. Assist with patient transfer and transportation as needed.
7. Follow all guidelines and policies related to patient care and safety.
8. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
9. Monitor and document temperature, humidity, and ventilation in the operating room.
10. Provide support and assistance to surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
