Operating Engineer - Plant

We are looking for a positive and detail-oriented Operating Engineer – Plant to join the Kaiser Permanente team. Our ideal candidate has a strong technical background, with experience in plant operations and maintenance. An ideal candidate should also be a team player, with a strong commitment to safety and providing excellent customer service.To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a minimum of five years’ experience in plant operations and maintenance. You should also be knowledgeable in the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and have a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular plant operations and maintenance duties according to established schedules and safety protocols.
2. Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and detect any problems in the system.
3. Monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and boiler systems for any issues or irregularities.
4. Conduct regular inspections of the plant and its systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
5. Handle emergency repair and maintenance activities as needed.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment condition.
7. Ensure safety protocols are followed in all activities.
8. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
9. Assist other team members with their tasks as needed.
10. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
