Responsibilities:

1. Assess the patient’s physical, mental, developmental, and emotional needs and develop a plan of care to meet those needs.
2. Administer and interpret tests and evaluations to assess the patient’s abilities, strengths, and weaknesses.
3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the patient’s needs.
4. Assist patients in learning and mastering skills needed for daily living.
5. Provide instruction to patients and families on how to use adaptive equipment and techniques.
6. Maintain accurate records of patient progress.
7. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
8. Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and other medical professionals.
9. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care.
10. Stay current with best practices and advances in the field of Occupational Therapy.
