
Nursing Professional Development Specialist

- Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff based on current best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
- Assess the learning needs of individual nurses and develop personalized learning plans to address any knowledge gaps.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance nursing skills and knowledge, including topics such as patient safety, infection control, and clinical procedures.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them through education and training.
- Stay current on industry trends and updates in nursing practice to ensure training materials and programs are up-to-date and relevant.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback from nursing staff.
- Utilize various teaching methods, materials, and technologies to engage and educate nursing staff.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to nursing education and training.
- Maintain records and documentation of training activities and keep track of nursing staff's progress and development.
- Participate in organizational meetings and committees to provide input and contribute to the improvement of nursing practice and patient care.
- Uphold and promote the values and mission of Kaiser Permanente through all aspects of the role.
Current Rn License In The State Of Employment.
A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.
Certification In Nursing Professional Development (E.g. Anpd Certification Or Equivalent).
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Nursing Education Or Staff Development, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Communication, Leadership, And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Multi-Disciplinary Teams And Manage Multiple Projects.
