  1. Assist nursing staff in providing direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
  2. Monitor and report vital signs and changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
  3. Assist with transferring and positioning patients safely and comfortably.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing linens and restocking supplies.
  5. Answer patient call lights and assist with patient requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  6. Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  7. Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  13. Take initiative in identifying and reporting any patient or equipment issues to nursing staff.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Nursing Attendant At Kaiser Permanente Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Candidates Should Have A Current Cna Certification To Be Considered For The Job.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Other Healthcare Facility Is Preferred.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: This Job Requires Frequent Interaction With Patients, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So Strong Communication Skills Are Essential.

  • Physical Ability: Nursing Attendants Need To Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift And Move Patients, As Well As Stand For Long Periods Of Time.
