  1. Provide exceptional care to patients with cancer and blood disorders, utilizing evidence-based practice, compassion, and empathy.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
  3. Develop and implement individualized care plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to address patients' unique needs and goals.
  4. Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
  5. Monitor and evaluate patients' response to treatments, and make necessary adjustments to the care plan.
  6. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  7. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during difficult times.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  10. Stay current with advancements in the field of oncology and hematology, and apply them to practice.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care.
  12. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  13. Serve as a role model and mentor for nursing staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Attend and participate in team meetings, conferences, and trainings as required.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Nursing: A Nurse Practitioner - Oncology/Hematology At Kaiser Permanente Should Possess A Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Or Doctor Of Nursing Practice (Dnp) Degree From An Accredited Program.

  • Current Nursing License: Applicants Must Have An Active And Unrestricted Nursing License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing As A Nurse Practitioner.

  • Certification In Oncology Or Hematology: To Qualify For This Position, Candidates Must Hold A Certification As An Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (Aocnp) Or Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (Aocns) From An Accredited Certifying Organization.

  • Clinical Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In An Oncology Or Hematology Setting As A Registered Nurse (Rn) Or Nurse Practitioner (Np).

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practice: Kaiser Permanente Values A Commitment To Evidence-Based Practice And Requires Candidates To Have A Strong Understanding Of Current Oncology And Hematology Research And Practices To Provide High-Quality Patient Care.
