  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Operating Room department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  2. Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of nurses, surgical technicians, and other staff members, promoting a positive work environment and fostering teamwork.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety in the OR.
  4. Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing coaching and feedback as needed to maintain a high level of quality and productivity.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in nursing and operating room management, and implement changes and improvements as needed.
  7. Manage staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  8. Monitor and manage the department's budget, including supplies, equipment, and staffing costs.
  9. Act as a liaison between the OR department and other departments within the healthcare organization, advocating for the needs of the OR team and promoting collaboration and communication.
  10. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to ensure continuous improvement and professional growth.
  11. Serve as a role model and mentor for staff, promoting a culture of excellence, compassion, and patient-centered care.
  12. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
  13. Participate in hospital committees, meetings, and initiatives to represent the OR department and contribute to organizational goals and objectives.
  14. Provide support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues related to their care.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care processes and make recommendations for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Accreditation Standards
