  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  2. Provide strong leadership and direction to a team of nurses, promoting a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance the overall patient experience.
  4. Lead by example, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, staff, and other departments to ensure coordinated and integrated care for patients.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based practices and protocols for the Emergency Department.
  7. Monitor and manage department budget, resources, and staffing to meet patient care needs and organizational goals.
  8. Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff, ensuring a highly skilled and motivated team.
  9. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, policies, and procedures related to patient care and safety.
  11. Serve as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior, upholding the values and mission of Kaiser Permanente.
  12. Act as a liaison between the Emergency Department and other departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
  13. Participate in organizational meetings, committees, and projects to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
  14. Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in emergency nursing and share knowledge with the team to enhance patient care.
  15. Uphold a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Or Higher

  • Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Nursing, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Management Role

  • Certification In Emergency Nursing (Cen) Preferred

  • Proven Track Record Of Effective Leadership, Team Building, And Problem-Solving Skills In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment
