Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join Kaiser Permanente’s cutting-edge team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and performing complex nuclear medicine procedures. You will use the latest technology to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and conditions.We are seeking an individual who has a solid understanding of nuclear medicine principles, instrumentation, and radiation safety. The ideal candidate should have a current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and be eligible for licensure in the state of California. A strong commitment to excellent customer service and patient care is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires excellent communication and time management skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform complex nuclear medicine procedures, such as PET/CT scans, imaging, and therapeutic procedures.
  2. Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed at all times.
  3. Maintain records and documentation, including patient information, medical images, and test results.
  4. Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients.
  5. Communicate with patients and families to ensure a positive experience.
  6. Maintain and troubleshoot nuclear medicine equipment.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and provide patient care.
  8. Monitor and assess patient progress and ensure follow up care is provided.
  9. Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine and related technologies.
  10. Adhere to all safety and quality standards set by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and the state of California.
