
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join Kaiser Permanente’s cutting-edge team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and performing complex nuclear medicine procedures. You will use the latest technology to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and conditions.We are seeking an individual who has a solid understanding of nuclear medicine principles, instrumentation, and radiation safety. The ideal candidate should have a current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and be eligible for licensure in the state of California. A strong commitment to excellent customer service and patient care is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires excellent communication and time management skills. Responsibilities:
- Perform complex nuclear medicine procedures, such as PET/CT scans, imaging, and therapeutic procedures.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain records and documentation, including patient information, medical images, and test results.
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients.
- Communicate with patients and families to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain and troubleshoot nuclear medicine equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and provide patient care.
- Monitor and assess patient progress and ensure follow up care is provided.
- Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine and related technologies.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards set by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and the state of California.
