We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technician, you will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver exceptional care by performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials. We are looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused individual with a strong understanding of nuclear medicine technology and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.   1. Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials, such as PET and SPECT scans, to accurately capture images of internal organs and tissues.
  2. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, following proper safety protocols and ensuring accurate dosage.
  3. Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in nuclear medicine imaging, such as gamma cameras and computers.
  4. Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort, and make adjustments as needed.
  5. Review and evaluate images to ensure quality and accuracy, and make any necessary technical adjustments.
  6. Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as radiologists and physicians, to interpret and analyze imaging results.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including imaging results and any adverse reactions to radiopharmaceuticals.
  8. Educate patients and their families about the imaging process and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  9. Stay up-to-date with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques, and incorporate them into daily practice.
  10. Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials.
  11. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations, including scheduling and maintaining equipment.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and supplies.
  13. Act as a resource for colleagues and students, providing training and guidance on nuclear medicine procedures and safety.
  14. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care, ensuring a positive and compassionate experience for all patients and their families.
  15. Represent the organization in a professional and ethical manner, following all policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Program.

  • Current Certification By The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Nuclear Medicine Equipment, Including Pet/Ct, Spect/Ct, And Gamma Cameras.

  • Strong Understanding Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Regulations, As Well As Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Nuclear Medicine Procedures.
