
Nuclear Medicine Technician

- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine technology, including administering radiopharmaceuticals and operating imaging equipment.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, following established protocols.
- Monitor and record patient information, such as heart rate and blood pressure, during imaging procedures.
- Review and evaluate images for quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to obtain and record patient medical histories.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and imaging data.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Stay current on advancements and changes in nuclear medicine technology.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding imaging procedures and results.
- Participate in quality control and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all organization policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or medical director.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Procedures
Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb)
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Nuclear Medicine Technology, Preferably In A Hospital Setting
