- Conducting nuclear medicine procedures: Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using nuclear medicine technology, such as administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and preparing and analyzing images.
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort: Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures, including proper positioning, monitoring vital signs, and providing clear and thorough instructions to patients.
- Maintaining equipment and supplies: Keep all nuclear medicine equipment in good working condition and ensure adequate supply levels for procedures.
- Collaborating with healthcare team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and accurate patient care.
- Adhering to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
- Documenting and reporting: Accurately document all procedures and patient information, including medical history, medications, and any adverse reactions.
- Continuously improving skills and knowledge: Stay current on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Providing exceptional patient care: Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
- Maintaining confidentiality: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborating with department leaders: Work closely with department leaders to identify areas for improvement and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Certification By The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.
Knowledge Of And Experience With Various Imaging Equipment, Including Pet/Ct, Spect/Ct, And Gamma Cameras.
