  1. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in nuclear medicine, including administering and monitoring radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and analyzing images.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for each patient.
  3. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  4. Accurately record and maintain patient information and imaging data.
  5. Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to handling and disposing of radioactive materials.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in nuclear medicine technology and techniques.
  8. Provide patient education and explain imaging procedures and results in a clear and compassionate manner.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.
  10. Adhere to all Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  11. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certification By The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Medical Setting, Preferably In A Nuclear Medicine Department.

  • Strong Understanding Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Procedures, And Ability To Maintain Compliance With Regulatory Agencies.
