  1. Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials in accordance with established protocols and safety measures.
  2. Monitor and maintain inventory of radioactive materials and ensure proper disposal in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  3. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as directed by physicians.
  4. Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and report any malfunctions.
  5. Interact with patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to obtain and accurately interpret patient medical histories and test results.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  9. Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and participate in continuing education to maintain required certifications.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by effectively communicating with colleagues and other healthcare team members.
  12. Comply with all Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing protocols for improved patient care and safety.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the proper handling and storage of radioactive materials.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or A Related Field.

  • Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Nuclear Medicine.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Nuclear Medicine Technician.

  • Familiarity With Current Radiation Safety Protocols And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills.
