  1. Conduct nuclear medicine procedures: The Nuclear Medicine Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using cutting-edge technology to aid in patient care.
  2. Ensure quality and accuracy: The incumbent will need to have a keen eye for detail and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of all nuclear medicine procedures.
  3. Utilize technical expertise: The Nuclear Medicine Technician will need to have a strong background in nuclear medicine and utilize their technical expertise to perform procedures and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  4. Provide compassionate care: The incumbent will be expected to have a compassionate nature and provide exceptional care to patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team: The Nuclear Medicine Technician will work closely with other members of the healthcare team, such as physicians, nurses, and technologists, to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  6. Maintain equipment: The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating nuclear medicine equipment to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
  7. Follow safety protocols: The Nuclear Medicine Technician will adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to protect patients, staff, and themselves from exposure to radiation.
  8. Educate patients: The incumbent will be responsible for educating patients about the procedures, answer any questions they may have, and provide them with post-procedure instructions.
  9. Maintain patient records: The Nuclear Medicine Technician will accurately and timely document all procedures and patient information in electronic medical records.
  10. Continuous learning: The incumbent will be expected to stay updated on the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and attend training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field

  • Certification And Registration By The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Nuclear Medicine Technology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting

  • Knowledge Of Radioactive Materials Handling And Safety Protocols

  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work In A Team Environment, As Well As Independently.
