  1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
  2. Notify medical staff of any changes or abnormalities in cardiac rhythms.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient heart activity.
  4. Operate and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment.
  5. Collaborate with medical staff to provide prompt and accurate information on patient status.
  6. Follow established protocols and procedures for monitoring and reporting cardiac rhythms.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding any changes in cardiac rhythms.
  8. Monitor and respond to alarm systems, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  9. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.
  10. Adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on advancements in cardiac monitoring technology.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the healthcare team.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  15. Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  16. Display critical thinking skills in identifying and responding to potential cardiac emergencies.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Completion Of An Accredited Monitor Technician Training Program

  • Certification As A Monitor Technician From A Recognized Organization (E.g. American Association Of Critical-Care Nurses)

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Monitor Technician In A Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Cardiac Rhythms, And Interpretation Of Cardiac Monitor Readings.
