Job Description

We are searching for an experienced, enthusiastic Monitor Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a compassionate individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The Monitor Technician will be responsible for monitoring and responding to cardiac and other vital signs of patients in the critical care setting. This role requires a basic understanding of medical terminology, the ability to read and interpret EKG rhythms, and the ability to identify and respond to critical changes in the patient’s condition.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience working in a healthcare setting and a high school diploma or equivalent. The successful candidate must also have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and respond to cardiac and other vital signs of patients in the critical care setting.
  2. Read and interpret EKG rhythms.
  3. Identify and respond to critical changes in the patient’s condition.
  4. Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  5. Provide excellent customer service.
  6. Follow written and verbal instructions.
  7. Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.
  8. Stay up to date with medical terminology and industry trends.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  10. Adhere to Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
