
Medical Assistant-Pediatrics
KP is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant-Pediatrics to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. Responsibilities: • Provide quality care to Kaiser Permanente patients in the Pediatrics department • Collaborate with other medical professionals in a collaborative, team-oriented environment • Obtain patient medical histories and vital signs • Prepare exam and treatment rooms • Administer injections, immunizations, and other treatments as prescribed by the physician • Perform laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures • Document and update patient information in medical records • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing • Answer questions and provide education about medical treatments, medications, and other health-related topics • Schedule appointments and follow-up visits • Handle telephone inquiries and triage calls from patients • Assist in the handling of medical emergencies, as needed
