  1. Assist the neurology team in providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions.
  2. Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing insurance information.
  3. Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment for patient appointments.
  4. Take vital signs, collect and record patient medical histories, and assist with basic medical procedures.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a positive patient experience.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  7. Collaborate with the neurology team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  8. Stay current on medical procedures and advancements in the neurology field.
  9. Assist with patient education and provide resources for managing neurological conditions.
  10. Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients and their families.
  11. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other healthcare professionals.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of Kaiser Permanente in all job duties.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Neurology Clinic Or Department, With Knowledge Of Neurological Conditions, Procedures, And Terminology.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Other Computer Systems Used For Scheduling Appointments, Managing Patient Information, And Billing.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Procedures And Protocols, Including Administering Medications, Taking Vital Signs, And Assisting With Minor Procedures.
