  1. Provide medical assistance to patients in the Neuro-Surgery department.
  2. Assist neuro-surgeons in performing procedures and surgeries.
  3. Take patient vitals, record medical history, and update patient charts accurately.
  4. Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
  5. Administer medications and injections as directed by the neuro-surgeons.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Follow standard infection control procedures to ensure patient safety.
  9. Educate patients on post-operative care and provide support and guidance as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Applicants Must Have Completed A Recognized Medical Assistant Program And Possess A Certificate Or Diploma.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: Candidates Must Hold A Valid Certification As A Medical Assistant, Such As Cma Or Rma, From A Nationally Recognized Organization.

  • Experience In Neuro-Surgery: Previous Experience Working In A Neuro-Surgery Setting Is Preferred. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Neurology And Surgical Procedures Related To The Field.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Familiarity With Ehr Systems Used At Kaiser Permanente, Such As Epic, Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Proficient In Documenting Patient Information And Managing Medical Records.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Medical Assistants In This Role Will Work Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Providing Quality Patient Care And Maintaining A Positive Work Environment.
