  1. Assist physicians in providing high-quality patient care during day surgery procedures.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures by taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and provide comprehensive care to patients.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  7. Monitor and order necessary medical supplies and equipment for day surgery procedures.
  8. Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information.
  9. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
  10. Stay current on medical advancements, procedures, and techniques to enhance patient care and support the team.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  14. Uphold the values and standards of Kaiser Permanente and promote a positive work culture.
  15. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credential

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Day Surgery Or Other Surgical Specialty

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Surgical Procedures

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Experience With Computerized Scheduling Systems
