Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and compassionate individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant at Kaiser Permanente's Breast Care Center. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong medical office experience, and a passion for providing outstanding patient care and support. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing direct care to patients, performing all related administrative tasks, and coordinating patient care with physicians and other medical staff, all while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction.To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask without sacrificing quality, and the ability to adjust to a rapidly changing environment. In addition, the ideal candidate must have a minimum of one year of medical assistant experience in a clinical setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct care to patients by examining medical histories, performing routine tests, and collecting and recording vital signs.
  2. Assist physicians and other medical staff in coordinating patient care, including scheduling appointments, performing laboratory tests, and administering medications.
  3. Maintain patient records, filling out insurance forms, and other required paperwork.
  4. Ensure the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction are met through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to manage records and document patient information.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety and compliance with all health regulations.
  7. Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to accommodate patient needs.
  8. Provide education and support to patients and their families.
