Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as the Kaiser Permanente Medicaid Chief Health Equity Officer. In this role, you will lead our efforts to advance health equity in the Medicaid health care system and ensure our health care services meet the needs of all members. As a trusted leader with a commitment to promoting social justice, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure that Kaiser Permanente provides quality and equitable care to our Medicaid members.The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Public Health or a related field, as well as at least five years of experience in healthcare policy and health equity. You must have a strong understanding of health care access, reimbursement, and population health initiatives, and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. You must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data.This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the health of our Medicaid members. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead efforts to advance health equity for Kaiser Permanente's Medicaid members.
  2. Develop and execute strategies to ensure equitable care to Medicaid members.
  3. Build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  4. Analyze and interpret data related to health care access, reimbursement and population health initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to promote social justice within the health care system.
  6. Monitor performance of strategies and evaluate outcomes.
  7. Develop and deliver policy recommendations and reports based on research and data analysis.
  8. Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in health care and health equity.
  9. Participate in conferences, meetings and other events to keep up to date on the latest developments in health care and health equity.
  10. Mentor junior professionals and provide guidance to staff on health equity initiatives.
