Job Description

We are looking for a qualified, experienced Manager of IT Support, Desktop, to join the Kaiser Permanente family. Our ideal candidate will have a customer-centric approach and understand how to use technology to improve the customer experience. As Manager of IT Support, Desktop, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, design, development, and execution of IT support services.We are seeking a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in IT Desktop Support, with a strong understanding of system installation and maintenance, computer hardware and software troubleshooting, and customer service. The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of network and storage infrastructure, and be able to develop systems and procedures for IT support.The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team will be essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute an IT support services strategy.
  2. Provide technical support services for computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
  4. Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Create systems and procedures for IT support.
  6. Monitor and maintain employee workstations and software.
  7. Manage and maintain documentation for IT support services.
  8. Establish and enforce IT support policies and procedures.
  9. Investigate and evaluate new technologies and solutions.
  10. Manage IT support staff and resources.
