
Manager - Infection Prevention
We are looking for an experienced and driven Manager - Infection Prevention to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. We are a leader in providing quality healthcare and strive to set the standard for safety and quality. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's infection prevention program.You must have a Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare environment. Experience in infection prevention, quality improvement, and epidemiology is preferred. A Certified Infection Preventionist (CIC) credential is highly desirable.The ideal candidate will be highly organized and analytical, able to manage multiple projects at once and work efficiently under pressure. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including senior management, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Your passion for providing quality healthcare and improving safety will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s infection prevention program.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infection control practices.
- Identify and address areas of improvement.
- Evaluate new procedures and technologies for potential use in infection prevention practices.
- Develop and provide education and training programs on infection prevention.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure best practices are followed.
- Develop and maintain data collection and reporting systems to identify patterns of infection.
- Participate in audits and other assessment activities.
- Monitor and report on trends in infection incidence.
- Maintain a safe environment for healthcare providers and patients.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
Current Licensure As A Registered Nurse In The State Of Practice
Or Related Field
Public Health
Certified In Infection Control (Cic) Or Ability To Obtain Certification Within Months Of Hire
Minimum Of Years Of Relevant Experience In Infection Prevention And Control
Knowledge Of Principles And Practices Of Infection Prevention And Control
Knowledge Of Joint Commission
