  1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and safety measures.
  2. Maintain strict adherence to quality control standards and ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  3. Prepare and handle laboratory samples, specimens, and equipment in a safe and organized manner.
  4. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues as needed, and perform regular maintenance and calibration.
  5. Keep detailed and accurate records of all laboratory tests, procedures, and results.
  6. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and colleagues to ensure timely and accurate reporting of laboratory results.
  7. Follow all laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment.
  8. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain an adequate stock of materials.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide suggestions for process improvement.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in laboratory procedures.
  11. Mentor and train new laboratory staff as needed.
  12. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
  14. Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to Kaiser Permanente's mission, values, and goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Science-Related Field, Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Technology.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Specimen Handling, Testing, And Analysis.

  • Proficient In Data Entry And Record-Keeping, With Experience Using Laboratory Information Systems.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills.
