Laboratory Assistant

Our Kaiser Permanente medical laboratory is in need of an experienced and reliable Laboratory Assistant to join our team and help produce accurate and timely results. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and skills to perform the necessary laboratory procedures, while ensuring a safe work environment.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for laboratory work and a commitment to accuracy and precision. To be successful in this position, you must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. You must also possess strong communication skills, be reliable, and be able to work independently. The successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, as well as experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, computer proficiency, and the ability to work with complex laboratory instruments are also required.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform a variety of laboratory procedures, tests, and experiments
2. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of results
4. Enter data into laboratory information systems
5. Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments
6. Prepare samples for analysis and interpret results
7. Assist with maintaining laboratory supplies
8. Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure accuracy and quality of results
9. Develop and implement quality control procedures
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
