  1. Dispensing Medications: The primary responsibility of an Inpatient Pharmacist is to accurately and efficiently dispense medications to patients according to their prescriptions.
  2. Medication Management: In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying medication orders, checking for potential drug interactions and allergies, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients.
  3. Collaborating with Healthcare Team: As an Inpatient Pharmacist, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients. This may include consulting on medication therapy and providing recommendations for optimal drug regimens.

  8. Continuous Learning: As an Inpatient Pharmacist, you will be expected to stay updated on current pharmaceutical knowledge and trends by attending continuing education programs and staying informed about new drugs and treatments.
  9. Patient Advocacy: In this role, you will be an advocate for patients by ensuring they receive the best possible care and medications for their conditions.

Job Qualifications
  • Licensed Pharmacist: The Candidate Must Have A Valid License To Practice Pharmacy In The State Where The Kaiser Permanente Facility Is Located.

  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd): A Pharmd Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy School Is Required.

  • Clinical Experience: Experience Working In An Inpatient Hospital Setting, Preferably In A Large Healthcare System Like Kaiser Permanente, Is Highly Desired.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients.
