Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Genetics Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. In this role, you will provide comprehensive genetic nursing care to patients in the Kaiser Permanente system. You must be a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing compassionate and quality care.To be successful in this role, you must possess a Master's degree in Nursing, a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California, and experience in genetics nursing. You must also have strong knowledge of genetic disorders, genetic counseling, and genetic laboratory tests and results. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive genetic nursing care to Kaiser Permanente patients.
  2. Create and review patient care plans.
  3. Monitor patient progress and track outcomes.
  4. Provide counseling and education to patients and families on genetic disorders and testing.
  5. Coordinate with other medical professionals to ensure patient needs are met.
  6. Ensure culturally competent care is provided.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of genetic laboratory tests and results.
  8. Participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date on latest developments in genetic nursing.
  9. Maintain accurate records and document all patient interactions.
  10. Adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

Job Qualifications
