- Prepare and cook meals for patients in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Develop and maintain a menu that meets the nutritional needs of patients while also providing variety and flavor.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Monitor food inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain stock levels.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality in meal preparation.
- Collaborate with dietitians and other healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs and medical restrictions.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the quality of food and service provided to patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team regarding meal options and accommodations.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in nutrition and cooking techniques.
- Assist with special events or catering services as needed.

Culinary Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Cook In A High-Volume Kitchen, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Health And Safety Standards: Familiarity With Food Safety Regulations And Experience In Maintaining A Clean And Sanitary Work Environment.
Culinary Education: Completion Of A Culinary Arts Program Or Equivalent Training In Food Preparation Techniques, Menu Planning, And Nutrition.
Teamwork And Leadership Skills: Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Members Of The Kitchen Staff And Demonstrate Leadership Skills In Overseeing And Training Junior Cooks.
Adaptability And Time Management: Flexibility To Work Various Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, And The Ability To Manage Time Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
