  1. Prepare and cook meals for patients in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
  2. Develop and maintain a menu that meets the nutritional needs of patients while also providing variety and flavor.
  3. Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner, following all health and safety guidelines.
  4. Monitor food inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain stock levels.
  5. Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality in meal preparation.
  6. Collaborate with dietitians and other healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs and medical restrictions.
  7. Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the quality of food and service provided to patients.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team regarding meal options and accommodations.
  9. Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  10. Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in nutrition and cooking techniques.
  12. Assist with special events or catering services as needed.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  14. Foster a positive and respectful work environment.
  15. Exhibit a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Cook In A High-Volume Kitchen, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Health And Safety Standards: Familiarity With Food Safety Regulations And Experience In Maintaining A Clean And Sanitary Work Environment.

  • Culinary Education: Completion Of A Culinary Arts Program Or Equivalent Training In Food Preparation Techniques, Menu Planning, And Nutrition.

  • Teamwork And Leadership Skills: Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Members Of The Kitchen Staff And Demonstrate Leadership Skills In Overseeing And Training Junior Cooks.

  • Adaptability And Time Management: Flexibility To Work Various Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, And The Ability To Manage Time Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
