  1. Accurately document and code cancer diagnoses and treatments in accordance with coding guidelines and standards.

  3. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of cancer data.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to obtain necessary information for cancer registry records.
  5. Stay up-to-date on changes and updates to coding guidelines and regulations related to cancer registry.
  6. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in cancer data.
  7. Participate in training and mentoring of other cancer registrars to ensure consistent and high-quality data documentation and coding.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and security of all cancer registry data and records.
  9. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and other team members to obtain and clarify information related to cancer diagnoses and treatments.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve cancer data quality and processes within the organization.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized cancer registry records and reports.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines related to cancer registry and data management.
  13. Act as a subject matter expert and resource for cancer registry processes and coding guidelines.
  14. Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve cancer data collection and reporting.
  15. Attend relevant meetings and conferences to stay informed about updates and advancements in the field of cancer registry.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Tumor Registrar (Ctr) Credential From The National Cancer Registrars Association (Ncra).

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Cancer Registry Coding And Data Management.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Icd-O-3, Icd-10, And Seer Coding Guidelines.

  • Proficiency In Using Cancer Registry Software Systems, Such As Metriq Or Elekta.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Accurately Abstract And Code Complex Cancer Cases.
