We are currently seeking an Endoscopy Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team.   1. Assist in the preparation of endoscopy procedures by setting up equipment and supplies.
  2. Sterilize and maintain all endoscopy instruments and equipment.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and provide comfort and support during procedures.
  4. Prepare and maintain patient records, including documenting procedures and any complications.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure a safe and efficient procedure.
  6. Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  7. Assist physicians and nurses during procedures by passing instruments, providing suction, and monitoring patients.
  8. Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and restocked after each procedure.
  9. Maintain inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
  10. Educate patients on pre and post-procedure instructions and answer any questions or concerns.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  12. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  14. Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and new techniques in endoscopy procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged And Certification As An Endoscopy Assistant Is Required For This Position.

  • Experience: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Endoscopy Assistant In A Gastroenterology Setting Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Equipment And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Endoscopic Procedures And Be Familiar With Endoscopy Equipment, Including Cleaning And Maintenance Protocols.

  • Attention To Detail: Endoscopy Procedures Require A High Level Of Precision And Attention To Detail. The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Guidelines.

  • Team Player: This Role Will Require Working Closely With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Candidate Should Have Strong Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Effectively As Part Of A Team.
