Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Echocardiogram Technologist to join the team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of echocardiograms, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to collaboration. This person must be able to work independently and be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Your strong commitment to excellence and experience will be essential to the success of our organization.The Echocardiogram Technologist will be responsible for providing quality echocardiograms to patients in a timely and professional manner. You will be responsible for performing echocardiograms in accordance with established protocols, guidelines, and regulations. You will also be responsible for providing patient assessments and establishing a positive patient relationship.We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of two years' experience performing echocardiograms, knowledge of the principles of sonography, and knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. The successful candidate must be certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You must be able to interact with patients and their families in a caring and compassionate manner. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is also a must.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform echocardiograms according to established protocols, guidelines and regulations.
  2. Provide patient assessments and establish a positive patient relationship.
  3. Maintain a working knowledge of the principles of sonography and cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  4. Interact with patients and their families in a caring and compassionate manner.
  5. Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  6. Troubleshoot and problem solve any echocardiogram related issues that arise.
  7. Follow safety protocols as required by the organization.
  8. Operate ultrasound equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  10. Maintain records and document patient's medical history.
