  1. Oversee the daily operations of the perioperative department to ensure efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services to patients.
  2. Provide strong and effective leadership to the perioperative team, promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  4. Monitor and manage department budgets, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in perioperative services, and implement changes as needed.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  8. Identify areas for improvement in operations and implement strategic solutions to increase efficiency and quality of care.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to perioperative services.
  10. Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of perioperative staff.
  11. Act as a liaison between the perioperative department and other departments within the healthcare organization.
  12. Utilize data and analytics to track and report on key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions to improve departmental performance.
  13. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the perioperative team.
  14. Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Represent the perioperative department in meetings and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Perioperative Nursing, With At Least 3 Years In A Leadership Role.

  • Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In Perioperative Services, Including Surgical Technology, Patient Safety, And Quality Improvement.

  • Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Mentor And Develop Staff, Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals, And Manage Budgets.

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Employment And Certification In Perioperative Nursing (Cnor) Preferred.
