- Assist dentists and other healthcare professionals in providing quality and compassionate dental care to patients.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for dental procedures.
- Greet patients, take and record their medical history, and update their charts.
- Explain dental procedures and treatments to patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
- Take and develop dental x-rays, as directed by dentists.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and any necessary instructions.
- Keep accurate records of patient information, treatment plans, and progress.
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
- Assist with lab tasks, such as pouring and trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and training.

X-Ray Certification: Kaiser Permanente Requires All Dental Assistants To Hold A Current X-Ray Certification. This Ensures That Candidates Are Knowledgeable And Competent In Taking And Developing Dental X-Rays.
