1. Assist dentists and other healthcare professionals in providing quality and compassionate dental care to patients.
2. Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for dental procedures.
3. Greet patients, take and record their medical history, and update their charts.
4. Explain dental procedures and treatments to patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
5. Take and develop dental x-rays, as directed by dentists.
6. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
7. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
8. Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
9. Communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and any necessary instructions.
10. Keep accurate records of patient information, treatment plans, and progress.
11. Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
12. Assist with lab tasks, such as pouring and trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns.
13. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and training.
14. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
