  6. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of utilization review processes and decisions.
  7. Stay up-to-date on healthcare regulations and policies related to utilization management.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
  9. Identify and address any barriers to care or gaps in services for patients.
  10. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  11. Assist in developing and implementing utilization management protocols and procedures.
  12. Serve as a resource for healthcare providers and staff regarding utilization management processes and procedures.
  13. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to utilization management.
  14. Participate in training and education programs to stay current on industry developments and best practices.
  15. Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Kaiser Permanente in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Utilization Review And Case Management In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance Guidelines For Utilization Review And Discharge Planning.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And External Stakeholders.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Implement Strategies For Improving Care Quality And Resource Utilization.
