  1. Assist with the coordination and management of transplant services for patients, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and quality care for transplant patients.
  3. Educate patients and their families on the transplant process, including pre- and post-transplant care, medications, and potential complications.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, adhering to all HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  5. Assist with the evaluation of potential transplant candidates, including reviewing medical records and coordinating necessary tests and evaluations.
  6. Facilitate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure appropriate coverage and reimbursement for transplant services.
  7. Coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, and follow-up care for transplant patients.
  8. Monitor and track patient progress and outcomes, identifying and addressing any barriers or issues that may arise during the transplant process.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with developing and implementing best practices for transplant services.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in transplant medicine, sharing knowledge and resources with colleagues and incorporating new practices into patient care.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures, promoting a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  13. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional conduct.
  14. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide support and resources for transplant patients and their families.
  15. Attend continuing education and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to transplant medicine and patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Healthcare-Related Field (E.g. Nursing, Biology, Medical Technology)

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Or Research Setting, Preferably In Transplantation

  • Strong Understanding Of Transplant Processes And Procedures, Including Donor Evaluation, Organ Procurement, And Post-Transplant Care

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations And Standards Related To Organ Donation And Transplantation, Such As Unos And Cms Guidelines
