Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. This position requires a unique combination of clinical and administrative skills, as well as a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others.The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the clinical programs within the Pharmacy Department. The position requires a deep understanding of clinical pharmacy practices and the ability to apply them to the department's operations. Our ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university, as well as Board of Pharmacy licensure in the state of California. Furthermore, the successful candidate will possess several years of direct clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all clinical programs within the Pharmacy Department.
  2. Develop and implement clinical pharmacy protocols to ensure quality patient care.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  4. Monitor and evaluate clinical pharmacy services to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and standards.
  5. Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding medications and their use.
  6. Maintain accurate patient records and document all clinical activities.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, laws, and guidelines.
  8. Stay up-to-date with new developments and trends in the field.
  9. Participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
